🪩 Weird & Wonderful Daft Punk Facts:

🎭 They never take off the helmets (seriously) – The robot personas weren’t just a gimmick. Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo refused to show their faces in public for decades. Total mystery mode.

🛠️ Their first sampler was rescued from a trash can – Yup. One of their key pieces of early music gear was literally salvaged from garbage. Punk meets resourcefulness.

🎬 They made a trippy sci-fi movie – It’s called Electroma and it has almost no dialogue. Just two robots on a journey to become human. Daft, deep, and very French.

📼 They once had a live show that shut down the internet – Their 2006 Coachella set was so legendary it’s still considered a turning point in electronic music history. EDM exploded after that night.

💡 They quit with a bang – In 2021, they released a dramatic farewell video called Epilogue. After nearly 30 years, they powered down the robots...but the music lives on.
