Now, full disclosure—I had a bit of a crush on both Martin and Dave Gahan (who didn’t?). My friends and I even followed the band to their hotel. Martin recognized me from the club and invited me up to hang with his entourage. But I froze. Total stage fright. I turned him down. Biggest. Regret. Ever.
