Do you need to forgive someone?

I was thinking about my loving sister Wendy, and it brought back something I wrote as a kid about Jesus: “Avoids Satan” (picture below). But now I understand it more deeply. Instead of focusing on evil or pointing fingers, I should look for the good—look for the angels among us. That’s how you truly avoid darkness: by focusing on the light.

It’s the same principle behind the Law of Attraction. When we blame, shame, criticize, condemn, or complain, we only invite more negativity into our lives. But when we speak of the good, the kind, and the generous, we surround ourselves with that energy. You become what you think about most of the time. So I want to focus on love—because in the end, love always wins.

Mother Teresa once said, “I would not attend an anti-war rally, but if you hold a pro-peace rally, invite me.” Her words speak volumes. She chose to focus on peace, not war; love, not hate. My mom taught me the same thing: focus on love and peace, and angels will watch over you.

I love my family. Even with harsh words and tough times—we fight like hell sometimes—we’re still family. And that means something. We forgive. We come back together. Grudges are poison. It’s better to turn that poison into medicine. A friend or family member you ghosted long ago may still need your love and forgiveness. You might be surprised if you reach out again with a loving email or text. You may regain a faithful ally. We could all use more friends and fewer enemies, right? Peacemakers inherit the earth according to the Bible. You don’t always have to be so hard, so right all the time. Say you are sorry- even if they were in the wrong. Life is not always about winning and alienating everyone who you feel is “less than”. The best people I know are the ones who forgive and say sorry- even if they are right to begin with. I describe my mother - selfless with absolute unconditional love. RIP.

A homeless person may get some levity from a sandwich you give them, even better, a smile, and a short conversation. Wow! That is power beyond wealth - that feeling you get. I make smiles when I DJ. DJs truly save lives. The world is divided over politics, and I am also to blame for this by proving that I am so right - I need to stop that. We (especially Americans over politics) need to heal and come together somehow. My mom wanted me to focus on the book of John in the Bible because I think she wanted me to focus on shining the light on the words of Jesus. I cannot go wrong trying to live like Jesus. My focus is on love today. Let’s start a love revolution. You only get what you give. Peace and Love, DJ Evan. #family #peace #LoveRevolution #healtheirpain #jesus #WWJD
