🌞 Good morning, beautiful people! God bless YOU. Listen and watch the video to "Morning has Broken" below.

God bless America—and God bless the ENTIRE WORLD.(Yes, a wild concept, right? Praying for everyone, not just Americans. Try it.) 🙏🌍

Be intentional with your prayers—every living being, every creature, every atom in the universe… and hey, maybe there’s life beyond Earth watching us. Pray for them too.

🎶 Morning has broken in Boston, and SUMMER IS HERE.If you’re surrounded by people acting like they’re headed to a funeral, remind them: It’s summer. LIGHTEN UP. ☀️

Also, skip the tired old goodbyes like “Be good” or “Be careful.”Here’s mine: Have FUN.Seriously—make that your life’s mission (after “Do no harm,” of course).

Celebrate. Dance. Laugh. LIVE. At one of my DJ gigs yesterday, a woman came up to me after reading one of my blogs and said something that really touched me—she told me I’m bringing the word of God and Jesus back into the spotlight in a way that feels cool again. She even called me a “flower child DJ,” saying I reminded her of the peace-loving vibes of the ‘60s and ‘70s hippies who believed in love, unity, and harmony.

Well… I’ll take that. I am the Flower Child DJ. I’m here to bring back the message of Jesus—of peace, love, compassion—and yes, make it cool again to follow that path. I also find deep inspiration in other peacemakers like the Buddha. It’s time to bring back reading the Bible, having honest conversations about faith, and celebrating spiritual truth—whatever your religion or political beliefs may be. I believe we can all move closer to heaven by making peace with one another, sharing dialogue, and, of course, through music.

Call me what you want—the Mad Hatter Music Mixer, DJ Evan MC, the Hitman (not a real hitman, I just play the hits), or now, the Flower Child DJ. My mission is simple: to teach the world to sing in perfect harmony.

Peace out.DJ Evan MC

🎵 Morning Has Broken… like the first morning… Praise for the morning, praise for the spring, God’s re-creation…This Cat Stevens song is absolutely beautiful—especially on a bright spring morning like this one. It brings back a cherished memory: my sister Cindy singing it so beautifully at First Baptist Church in Nampa, Idaho, when we were kids. I think of her every time I hear it.It’s the perfect song to start your day—with your coffee, your thoughts, and the birds singing outside in Boston.

Peace and love, From the desk—and the decks—of DJ Evan McIntyre 🎧💫

From 🎧 Club Evan Radio Intro:

"You're listening to Club Evan Radio on ClubEvan.com — where every track takes you somewhere. Up next is a sunrise for your soul — Cat Stevens with ‘Morning Has Broken.’ This isn’t just a song — it’s a breath of fresh air from the early '70s. A time when the world was slowing down and listening in. Let this classic remind you how powerful a peaceful morning can be.”

"Morning Has Broken" is a gentle, uplifting song that celebrates the beauty of a new day and the sense of renewal it brings. Originally a Christian hymn written by English author Eleanor Farjeon in 1931, it was inspired by the natural beauty of the village of Alfriston in East Sussex. The melody is a traditional Scottish tune called "Bunessan."

However, it became widely popular when Cat Stevens (now Yusuf Islam) released his version in 1971 on his album Teaser and the Firecat. His rendition, featuring rich piano accompaniment by Yes keyboardist Rick Wakeman, gave the hymn a modern folk-pop sound that resonated with audiences around the world.

🌅 What’s the Song About?

"Morning Has Broken" is essentially a celebration of life, nature, and spiritual awakening. It paints a picture of morning as a fresh start — the “first dewfall,” the “blackbird,” the “newborn day.” It invites listeners to pause and appreciate the wonder in everyday moments.

It’s not preachy — it's peaceful. A quiet joy. A musical sunrise.

🕊️ The Era: Early 1970s

The early '70s were a time of soul-searching and back-to-nature movements, especially after the turbulence of the late '60s. People were turning to spirituality, simplicity, and inner peace. Cat Stevens became a voice of that era — offering introspective music with meaning, much like Joni Mitchell, James Taylor, and Carole King.

"Morning Has Broken" fit that moment beautifully: a mix of old and new, faith and nature, tradition and folk-pop freshness.

God Bless You! Even though my family is American Baptist, my mom used to play the Mormon Tabernacle Choir every morning before us kids went to school while she made breakfast. They must be going to heaven, such heavenly voices. My favorite is Climb Every Mountain. Today and everyday.....climb every mountain, forge every stream, follow every rainbow...until you find your dream.

I'd like to teach the world to sing.....and standing hand in hand in peace. #cocacola #clubevanradio

"The Hebrew name Haim—חיים—means life. Not just existence, but vibrant, blessed, beat-droppin’, soul-shining life. In Jewish tradition, it’s more than a name—it’s a wish wrapped in sound: may you live long, love deeply, and RISE high young Anakins!

This is DJ Evan from Heaven, reminding you that names carry power—and Haim is pure life-force. I’m wishing you that same vibrant energy! Dance like there’s no tomorrow.

My best advice? First, do no harm—and just as important, have fun. Jesus already carried the weight of your sins, so you don’t need to stress about them. Every day is a chance to begin again. Jesus forgives, so forgive yourself. Your past mistakes were lessons, not a life sentence. Release it all and start fresh right now.

Jesus wants you healthy, happy, peaceful, living with ease—and God wants you to enjoy your life. So above all… have fun!

Love,

Evan
